Welcome to The World Heritage Calendar
World Heritage sites are natural and cultural sites identified by
UNESCO following the adoption, during the 1972 General Conference, of the
"Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage".
There are a total of 936 sites (725 cultural, 183 natural, and 28 mixed) currently
inscribed on the World Heritage List.
Panasonic and UNESCO have come together to bring about this Web Calendar available
in Japanese, English, Chinese, Spanish, and French.
