Light Speed AF

The auto focus gains approx. 50% faster speed compared with the DMC-FZ100 achieving Light Speed AF of approx. 0.1 second. You can quickly focus on moving subjects, such as when you're shooting sports scenes or animals.
High-speed Consecutive Shooting
The newly developed MOS sensor helps to realize the high speed burst shooting. You can take a series of shots, then choose the ones you like the best and delete the rest.
The DMC-FZ150 also features the Burst Mode Button. The frame rate, AF setting and the recording resolution can be easily selected according to the movement of the subject with this button.

The DMC-FX150 can fire off up to approx. 12 fps in full 12.1-megapixel resolution with its mechanical shutter. Great for capturing fast subject motion, such as sports scenes or animals.

You can snap off consecutive shots at approx. 5.5 fps or 2 fps with AF Tracking. That keeps the focus on quickly moving children for capturing decisive moments with crisp clarity.

Even higher-speed burst shooting is possible when the electronic shutter is used – 60 fps at 3.5-megapixel resolution. Great for capturing race cars and other subjects that are difficult to catch with the naked eye.

*1 The number of recordable images depends on the memory card size and battery life.
*2 The focus, exposure and white balance are fixed with the first picture for the burst.
*3 The exposure and white balance are fixed with the first picture for the burst.
*4 If [QUALITY] is set to [RAW+Fine], [RAW+Standard] or [RAW], the maximum recordable pictures is 11.
*5 The range that can be recorded will become smaller.
AF Tracking

Once you focus on your subject, the AF Tracking automatically tracks it until you press the shutter. When you're taking images of an active subject, like children or pets, this function eliminates the need to press the shutter button halfway down repeatedly to readjust the focus. With the DMC-FZ150, the speed becomes faster thanks to the improved tracking performance which doubles its sampling frequency.
1-area AF (Flexible / Scalable)

With the 1-area AF, the position of the AF area can be freely moved. The AF frame size can also be selected from among Spot, Normal, L, and XL.
Manual Focus
In the manual focus mode, not only the focus distance but also the DOF (depth of field) according to the zoom range and aperture is displayed.
In addition, an MF Assist function enlarges the image to make focusing easier. The focusing area is movable, which also contributes to easy and comfortable manual focusing.
1-cm Macro

The DMC-FZ150 lets you get as close as 1cm to your subject. Ideal for taking dynamic, intricate close-ups of flowers and insects, this feature is also great for rendering artwork and handicrafts in spectacular details and rich expression.
