Approx. 0.95 sec Quick Start-up Time

The DMC-FZ200 boasts the quick start-up time of approx. 0.95 sec. Together with the Light Speed AF, the DMC-FZ200 never misses the most fleeting shooting opportunities.

Light Speed AF

The Light Speed AF helps to catch even the most fleeting photo opportunities. You can quickly focus on moving subjects, such as when you're shooting sports scenes or animals.

12 fps with 12.1-megapixel Full Resolution

The 12.1-megapixel MOS sensor lets the DMC-FZ200 shoot 12 fps in full resolution with mechanical shutter. You can take a series of shots, then choose the ones you like the best and delete the rest.

5.5 fps / 2 fps with AF Tracking

You can snap off consecutive shots at approx. 5.5 fps or 2 fps with AF Tracking.

60 fps in 3.5-megapixel Resolution

Even higher-speed burst shooting is possible when the electronic shutter is used.

Intelligent Burst Mode

The Intelligent Burst Shooting automatically sets the frame rate of burst shooting according to the subject's movement.

*1 The focus is fixed to the first picture.
*2 The focus, exposure and white balance are fixed to the first picture.
*3 The number of burst recording pictures are limited by the picture-taking conditions and the type and / or status of the card used.

Compatible with UHS-I Standard SDHC / SDXC Memory Cards

In addition to the conventional SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card, the DMC-FZ200 complies with UHS-I (Ultra High Speed-I) standard SDHC/SDXC Memory Card for higher speed data transfer by minimizing writing time which is effective for high speed burst shooting.

AFF Mode

The newly added focus mode AFF (AF Flexible) locks on the focus when shutter button is half-pressed, however, if the subject moves, the focusing is reset to get the best results.

AF Tracking

Once you focus on your subject, the AF Tracking automatically tracks it until you press the shutter. When you're taking images of an active subject, like children or pets, this function eliminates the need to press the shutter button halfway down repeatedly to readjust the focus.

These functions are also available.
