You can add different effects by applying one of the filters both in the recording mode (Creative Control) and the playback mode (Creative Retouch).

The Radial Defocus adds defocus effect radially from the light source.

The Smooth Defocus makes the defocus figuration even smoother.

Time Lapse Shot

Once the start time, the interval and the number of picture to shoot are set, the camera automatically records images. You can leave the camera and get a record of stationary observation for subjects such as flowers coming into bloom or scudding cloud.

Multi Exposure

The Multi Exposure function lets you take up to three exposures in a single frame. You can layer subjects that wouldn't ordinarily appear in the same frame for an artistic effect, or make one subject appear two or three times in the same frame.

Photo Style

You can choose from 6 color types to get even more detailed image settings in both photo and video recording. In addition, the contrast, sharpness, saturation or noise reduction for each mode parameter can be customized in 5 steps and stored in memory.

Standard The standard setting.Vivid Brilliant effect with high saturation and contrast.Natural Soft effect with low saturation.Monochrome Monochrome effect with no color shades.Scenery An effect appropriate for sceneries with vivid blue skies and greens.Portrait An effect appropriate for portraits with a healthy and beautiful skin tone.

Intelligent Handheld Night Shot

The Intelligent Handheld Night Shot in the iA Mode generates a beautiful night scenery with illumination by multi-layering the images shot consecutively. Bright, glamorous night scenery can be recorded without using a tripod.
The Handheld Night Shot Mode is also available in the Scene Mode.

Panorama Shot

The Panorama Shot Mode makes it is possible to shoot a 360-degree horizontal / vertical panoramic image with consequent shots taken by overlaying the previous picture.

Scene Mode [Open New Window]

3D Photo Mode

The 3D Photo Mode* produces a 3D image in the camera. The image-processing method used by LUMIX records beautiful images with less distortion or visible image links.

* The picture size is fixed to 2-megapixel (16:9).

Auto Retouch: The Auto Retouch function adjusts contrast and brightness to give different impression to the photo with just a press of a button. If the image was shot too dark, it can be clear and bright to look it nicer with this function.
