Night scenes (Night portrait and night scenery)

When you take photos of family and friends against the beautiful nightscapes in the background, the O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) helps you to shoot them with using the slow-synchro flash.
Moreover, when the scenery is fantastic or the sky fills with extraordinary light after sunset, but using a flash won’t make everything bright enough. The O.I.S. helps you to shoot it with a slow shutter speed without using a flash.

Shooting telephoto shots

Jitter is common in zoom shots because of their narrow viewing angle. Plus, the lens aperture is also closed, and shutter speed becomes slower.

Underwater (Extraordinary scenes)

When the shutter button of a compact, lightweight camera is pressed while standing upright and shooting single-handed or underwater, the reaction force from pressing the button causes jitter. The O.I.S. also handles special needs like these.

Video recording (Shooting while walking)
