Panasonic announces the new firmware update program for the digital interchangeable lenses of LUMIX G Micro System. The new firmware programs are available for LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-PS14042) and LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 45-175mm / F4.0-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-PS45175) to enhance the performance of each lens.
The firmware programs will be available worldwide at GMT 6:00 on November 17, 2011 at the Panasonic LUMIX Official Support Website: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/.

The following functions will be available with the new firmware:

For LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-PS14042)

  • - Optimized operation when using Touch Zoom with DMC-GX1
  • - Improved AF (Auto Focus) performance in photo / video recording

For LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 45-175mm / F4.0-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-PS45175)

  • - Optimized operation when using Touch Zoom with DMC-GX1
  • - Improved the stability of O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer)
  • - Improved AF (Auto Focus) performance in photo / video recording
