600Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1080 lines of resolution**. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data, then optimises the frame to display fast-action scenes in full-HD resolution. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.

New VIERA models incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. • Communication range: When the transmitter is located directly in front of and facing at the receiver, the communication range is approximately 10 meters. If the front surfaces of the transmitter and receiver are positioned at an angle to each other, or if an obstacle exists between the transmitter and receiver, the usable distance may be shorter. <Figure>
• This unit cannot be used with more than two pairs operating at the same time in the same place. It will not operate properly if more than two pairs are operated within a short range.
About the WirelessHD standard
WirelessHD is a millimeter wave wireless AV transmission technology established by the WirelessHD consortium, an organization comprising Broadcom, Intel, LG Electronics, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung Electronics, SiBEAM, Sony, and Toshiba as promoters. WirelessHD has a maximum transmission data rate of approximately 4 Gbps, which enables full-HD uncompressed video and audio signals to be transmitted for distances of more than 10 meters in a room.

It's easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects. It's much more fun when you can view them on a large-screen HDTV with family and friends in 1920 x 1080-pixel high definition and a wide 16:9 aspect ratio.

DLNA is a standard that makes digital electronics easier and more convenient to use on a home network. For example, DLNA makes it possible to watch motion and still images stored in your computer on a large-screen TV, or to watch content stored on a hard disc recorder in your living room or bedroom.
What's DivX?
DivX is a video codec that was developed by DivX, Inc. based on MPEG-4 technology. It is capable of compressing long videos into relatively small data files while preserving high image quality. It offers good compatibility when going from PCs to TV and mobile devices for easy enjoyment of moving pictures.
With the new VIERA Tools user interface, simply press a button on the remote control and icons such as the photos or movies from the menu screen. Now you can just select the one you want. This kind of easy operation means you have more fun and less hassle.

In Game mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What's more VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode works anti-image retention (wobbling) too.
Panasonic products are more friendly to the environment. All VIERA plasma display panels are mercury- and lead-free. This reduces the impact on the environment when recycling or disposing of them in the future.
These TVs can be used for over 30 years. Using high-quality products longer, and taking care of them, is the first step to environmental conservation.
A newly designed phosphor process and rear panel process give the plasma panel a longevity of 100,000 hours*. This is more than 30 years of viewing when watched 8 hours a day, before the brightness of the panel decreases to half.
* This measurement is based on the time taken for the brightness of the panel to reduce to half of its maximum level. The time taken to reach this level may vary depending on the image content and the environment where the TV is used. Image retention and malfunctions are not taken into account.

When Eco mode is activated, a photosensor measures the ambient light conditions in the room, and the picture settings are automatically adjusted. As a result, the TV uses less power in dim lighting without any deterioration in image quality.
