The development concept for the 32LXD700 was "Aim for the Ultimate Image Quality!". We sought the highest possible quality in functions, design, and every other aspect. In line with modifications to the 32LXD700 processor, we reconstructed the entire system from top to bottom, optimising every component – all the way to the circuits for the connection terminals.

To optimise image quality, we concentrated on three main areas: double-speed (100-Hz) drive for beautiful motion images, an 8,500:1 contrast ratio, and image processing with a unique new algorithm. This marked our first application of the double-speed drive in Europe, and it let us achieve superb motion image response in combination with our original frame creation technology. It also contributed greatly to the 32LXD700's ability to reproduce images with both excellent brightness and high contrast, which led directly to the market's high approval ratings.

In the area of sound, we focused both on making people's voices clear and easy to understand, and on high-impact music reproduction. To achieve these points, we worked on an acoustic system with a 2- squawker + 2-woofer speaker configuration right up until the product's release.

VIERA Link was further advanced and given a deeper scope. The VIERA Link button on the remote control and the graphical user interface (GUI) were praised for giving users quick and easy control. You can also look forward to even more operating abilities in 2008 models.
