About Panasonic
Corporate Citizenship
Underlying our corporate mission since the 1920's is the idea formulated by our founder, Konosuke Matsushita, that the corporation, as a public institution, is "only able to exist if it receives the support of society and therefore, in turn, must contribute to society." In adherence to this mission, Panasonic is committed to an extensive number of citizenship activities around the world focusing on four key areas: education, the environment, the community, and arts and culture, in addition to providing assistance for disaster relief.
Citizenship Activities
Education
We have developed and continue to support educational programs such as video-based learning in elementary schools and scholarships for future leaders.
Environment
Through hosting local clean-ups, tree plantings, and other activities, Panasonic strives to conserve and coexist with the natural environment.
Community
Panasonic gives back to our communities in numerous ways, ranging from product donations to local shelters to employee volunteerism.
Arts and Culture
We support a variety of arts and cultural activities, particularly those that foster young artists and enrich the lives of children.
Disaster Relief
Utilizing our products, facilities and other resources, we provide assistance to help communities recover from natural and other disasters.
