Environmental education for children: "OMAHA" in Czech Republic

Ms Julia Kuzelkova of Panasonic AVC Networks Czech, s.r.o. is working with the Water Scouts "OMAHA" organization.
Omaha was set up in 1990 to provide environmental education for children, and now consists of a total of around 900 members divided into six groups. The activities involve canoe lessons on rivers both in the Czech Republic and other countries, to help the children learn about the importance of environmental conservation. The grant is now going toward the construction of a multi-purpose trailer for transporting the boats and other materials necessary for this activity.
