Donated energy saving lamps to the Abruzzo Earthquake victims

Panasonic Italy donated to the city of L’Aquila 20.000 lamps with low energetic consumption.

The ceremony of delivery hold on May 12Th, to the Guardia di Finanza barracks at the presence Mr. Hiroyasu Ando Ambassador of Japan in Italy, Guido Bertolaso Director of the Civil Protection Dept. of the Counsel of Ministry and Claudio Lamperti Managing Director of Panasonic Italy.

Our energy saving light bulbs delivered to the temporary houses in Abruzzo population by the Italian Civil Protection to whom we would like to thanks for the strong cooperation.

We hope to contribute to decrease the discomfort that this area population suffered and to cooperate for a fast return to normality.

Kid Witness News

Kid Witness News

Implemented by Panasonic on a global scale, Kid Witness News is a hands-on video education program that lends video cameras, editing decks and other equipment to schools for the purpose of fostering creativity, communication skills as well as teamwork through video production. Three schools in Italy are currently participating in the program. One of these schools, Istituto Comprensivo A.B. SABIN SEGRATE won the EXPO 2005 Special Contest's Grand Prix as well as the Best Editing Award for their production entitled "Is It So Difficult to Communicate?" which explores a student's perspective of the communication gap between teenagers and parents.


Support for Local Organizations

Panasonic donated products to various local nonprofit organizations as prizes for lotteries carried out to raise funds for activities, ranging from implementing drug prevention programs to sport sailing for young people with Cri Du Chat Syndrome to supporting schools for the disabled.
