Panasonic Asia Pacific announces eco ideas Declaration

On June 5, World Environment Day, Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (PA) held a ceremony to announce its eco ideas Declaration for Asia Pacific, aimed at reducing its impact on the environment in Asia, and at boosting environmental awareness.
The ceremony was attended by a total of around 110 guests, including government officials and members of the press. At the ceremony, Managing Executive Officer Ikuo Miyamoto said that the eco ideas Declaration for Asia Pacific will see all of Panasonic's 48 manufacturing sites in seven countries in the region work to promote the spread of environmentally friendly products, reduce CO2 emissions from manufacturing activities, and actively engage in environmental conservation activities in their communities.

Kid Witness News

Kid Witness News (KWN) is Panasonic's global hands-on video education program created to encourage middle and high school students to develop valuable cognitive, communication and organizational skills through the use of video. The unique program provides schools with an array of video equipment and offers participants the opportunity to develop selected interests, abilities and creativity through the production of videos.
In Singapore, the themes usually cover Culture, Environment, Sports, etc. Videos produced by the students are submitted to the annual awards contest, with prizes awarded in over ten different categories, including news, documentaries, dramas, etc.
