Electric Care Assistance Bed with
Integrated Wheelchair Roboticbed

Panasonic has continuously implemented robotic research and development to support people. As an example of our research, Panasonic created a Roboticbed last year that relieves some burden from caretakers when assisting people into beds and wheelchairs, which are said to cause the most amount of burden. We received an overwhelming response and expectation rose for its commercialization. In order to continue promoting the development of safe technologies and safe maintenance in an environment where the Roboticbed coexists with people, we will continue our initiatives under NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization). Furthermore, we will develop an "automatic care bed (with wheelchair features)" that easily combines a bed and wheelchair by easy mechanisms to continue our support for the nursing field.
