Controlling air-conditioning and lighting by detecting people using a network camera Administration Building EMS (STAIMS Camera-based Energy-saving System) Energy saving

The "camera-based energy-saving system," an optional software for the "STAIMS System," can use network cameras and SANYO's original image processing technologies to detect the number of people in a room and control air conditioning, air intake, and lighting, according to the number of people and their location in the room.

One network camera can cover approximately 20 square meters

According to the amount of natural light detected by a network camera, dimming control is done automatically. Moreover, by zoning the floor and setting up multiple network cameras, the number of people in each zone can be detected and air conditioner and lighting can be controlled accordingly. In this way, it is possible to set up an optimum system for any room layout.
