What kinds of environmental changes are happening in countries and regions around the world? Here we propose a number of problem-solving technologies and future lifestyle models. October 6 - 9, 2010
The Green Lifestyle Zone displayed panels that introduced an "eco-balanced growth model" for emerging nations, a "living infrastructure establishment model" for areas with no power supply in developing nations, and a "lifestyle co-creation model" for developed nations. These were based on the results of research on various aspects of lifestyles in model regions, such as power and water supply conditions and culture.
The Green Plan 2018 Zone presented an action plan for achieving Panasonic's vision for the 100th anniversary of its founding. This zone introduced energy-saving products, energy solutions businesses, and environmental conservation activities at factories.
The Biodiversity Zone exhibited products designed to preserve ecosystems, and showed images in a 3D Theater.
All of the display areas were crowded with business people who watched enthusiastically and asked many questions.

The Biodiversity Zone. This zone introduced bamboo-fiber speakers, "Tafna-Ray" lights that reduce disturbances to the ecosystem by enabling the reduced use of pesticides, and corporate greening activities.
Panasonic displayed the Life Innovation Container, which is scheduled to be introduced to areas with no electric power supply in developing nations. The roof of the container is mounted with solar panels, and the container is equipped with storage batteries and power control equipment. This container supplies electric power to facilities, such as schools and medical clinics. It is expected to improve the quality of life in areas currently without power supply.
[Panel Discussion] Energy Solutions for Developing Nations / Electricity-less Areas

Solar power generations, fuel cells and storage batteries create and store energy, while the home energy management system links the benefits of energy-saving home appliances and adjusts LED lights according to the ambient brightness. The showroom enables visitors to experience an "eco lifestyle." It also proposes the use of the garage as a room by taking advantage of an eco car that operates on electricity generated at home. The display of the house with an EV car drew the interest of many visitors.

"Technology & Solution ideas" were presented on the fourth floor of the Panasonic Center Tokyo. Introduced here were various technologies and ideas for communities and societies, all of which were developed by Panasonic for achieving environmental innovation. In addition to 3D images of Panasonic's business vision, this floor displayed solutions for entire stores, and an EV system and battery charging system to promote the widespread use of EVs, drawing the attention of many visitors every day.
