Panasonic Selected in “Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index”
Panasonic Corporation[Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. until Sep. 30th] is honored to be selected in Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) on Sep. 22nd 2008, which consists of “Best in Class” companies in its approach to information disclosure on climate change.
The CDLI, a list of companies which provided a valuable prospective on the range and quality of responses to a questionnaire on climate change management and performance and marked the highest scores was selected by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), which aims for creating a lasting relationship between shareholders and corporations regarding the implications for shareholder value and commercial operations presented by climate change.
In the sixth research (CDP6), the project sent the questionnaire to approx. 3000 companies, and 67 companies (34 companies from non-carbon-intensive sector) were selected in the CDLI.
