We move towards reducing total resources used, making the most of recycled resources and pursuing zero waste emissions at plants to achieve realization of the recycling-oriented society.
When new products are developed, we implement the product assessment and compare sizes with conventional products (weight reduction) as well as improve yields in quality-axis centered with the aim to minimize loss of resources used during production processes. Our base actions are to purchase parts and materials with less resources and develop equipments for resource saving purpose.

Along with the Panasonic Corporation's policies, we also look to make the most recycled resources. Bamboo fibers and cones are actively employed to develop polylactide plastic molding compounds for a wide spread of biodiversity.

Waste and valuable generated from our factories is classified into: (1) an amount of recyclable wastes (regardless of any cases that we can receive revenues by selling, provide free of charge, or take price compensation); (2) an amount of wastes reduced by incineration or dehydration; and (3) an amount of wastes that has to be sent to landfills (final disposal).
We are striving to reduce the generation of wastes by improving material yields in production processes to achieve "zero waste emissions at plant" globally in which an amount of final disposal is reduced to close to zero through recycling.
Concretely, we aim to increase the ratio of resources recycled at plants to wastes produced at plants, to as much as 99% or more in FY2013 by strengthening activities in China and Europe.
Furthermore, with the aim of managing our thoroughgoing management of wastes globally, we collaborate with Panasonic Corporation to improve skill of each person in charge.
