The Panasonic group has been promoting the “Transformation Project” to achieve strong growth and to become the No.1 Green Innovation Company in the Electronics Industry by 2018. As of Jan. 1, 2012, Panasonic will merge the following Panasonic group divisions and companies from the industrial devices segment to form the new Industrial Device Company.

The merger of Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. and Panasonic Electronic Devices Japan Co., Ltd. into Panasonic Corporation will be effective on April 1, 2012.
