April 5, 2012, Osaka, Japan-Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing “ the flat resistive touch panel “ with the integrated structure of decorative film, contributing to offering more flexibility to design of the display screen used in car navigation systems and car audio systems etc.

As the bezel-less design ( forming the flat display screen ) of mobile devices including smart phones, tablet peripherals has come into major trend, the same design ( bezel-less design ) has been adopted in car navigation systems and car audio systems. Under such circumstances, Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing “ the flat resistive touch panel ” offering more flexibility to design of the display screen of devices, realizing the high reliability and visibility required in automobile applications, and will commence mass-production.
Panasonic's newly developed three-wavelength semiconductor laser (model number: LNCS01MR), with its one-dimensional emitting point arrangement, allows optical pickups for Blu-ray DiscTM drives or players to be miniaturized and improves their quality.
