April 11, 2012, Osaka, Japan-Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing “ the conductive polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitor SP-Cap ”, featuring low ESR and large capacitance with low profile capacitors ( 1.1 mm height, 1.4 mm height ), and will commence mass-production. Newly developed capacitors are suitable for power-supply circuits of note-book PCs which have become to be thinner.

With the increasing popularity of the thin type note-book PC ( some PCs are designed in half size of current models, around 20 mm thick) in note-book PC market, capacitors to be used for smoothing circuits of power supply of note-book PCs have been required to be lower profile. To meet the market demand, Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in developing “ the conductive polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitor SP-Cap “, featuring lowest ESR and large capacitance in the industry in the shape of low profile (1.1 mm height, 1.4 mm height), and will commence mass-production.
