July 18, 2012, Osaka, Japan－Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing “ the ESD Suppressor (having electrostatic withstand-voltage of 15 kV ) with 1005 size ”, featuring electrostatic withstand-voltage of 15 kV on top level in the industry (※1) and suitable for measures for suppressing electrostatic noise in antenna circuits and high speed signal-lines of a variety of electronic devices including smart phones.

As mobile devices typified by smart phones have become to have higher performance as well as more multi-function, various components typified by semiconductors to be mounted have weakened in electrostatic noise-resistance because of their compactness and thinness, and then measures for suppressing electrostatic noise have been increasingly needed. Higher electrostatic noise-resistance has been required in antenna circuits of smart phones and car navigation systems. To meet the market demand, Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing “the ESD Suppressor (having electrostatic withstand-voltage of 15 kV) with 1005 size ”, features electrostatic withstand-voltage on top level in the industry(※1) as well as electrostatic capacity smallest in the industry(※1), and will start mass production.
