Question6. What does CCM indicate?

CCM (Capital Cost Management) is an indicator created by Panasonic to evaluate return on capital.
A positive CCM indicates that the return on invested capital meets the minimum return expected by capital markets.

Question7. I would like to know about "Itakona" program.

Answer7.

"Itakona" is delivered from two Japanese words: ita (plates) and kona (powders).
Essentially, the Company is stripping down products to the raw material level and looking at such things as the metals and plastics used in components.
The fundamental objective of "Itakona" is not simply to cut production costs by making detailed improvements.
The broader aim of this program is to qualitatively change operations, by drawing on the wisdom of and learning from other employees in the pursuit of optimal costs.
It is not an extension of conventional thinking, but a departure from it.

Question8. I would like to know 'eco ideas' strategy.

On October 5, 2007, Panasonic announced 'eco ideas' strategy to accelerate its activities to realize 'Coexistence with the global environment'. The Company accelerate its environmental management with three key initiatives: 'eco ideas' for Products, 'eco ideas' for Manufacturing, and 'eco ideas' for Everybody, Everywhere.
