Who won the KWN Malaysia Contest?
Students and teachers from 22 schools in Malaysia gathered at the GSC Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur on the 5th and 6th of November to partake in the finals of the KWN National Contest and Awards for Malaysia. A five-minute video created by students from the Sekolah Kebangsaan Permatang Teluk Intan titled Budak Kampung Activities, a heartwarming docu-drama about life in kampung or village, earned the grand prize. This school represented Malaysia for the KWN Asia Pacific Regional Contest held in Singapore on December 6.

The KWN China Award Ceremony held!
On October 20th, Panasonic Corporation of China held the Awards Ceremony to present the winner of the annual Kid Witness News (KWN) contest for the 2006-2007 school year at the Panasonic Center BEIJING. The video footage titled Smiling Children for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games produced by the Fang Cao Di Primary School swept away the grand prize as the Best Video, selected from among titles created by 8 schools in China. The kick-off ceremony of KWN programe for the 2007-2008 school year also took place, and this year's theme and schedule were announced.

KWN Awards Ceremony held in Australia !
Twelve Australian schools were recognized for their achievements in filmmaking on 13 September 2007. The annual "Kid Witness News (KWN) New Visions Awards" were held at Luna Park in Sydney. Standout winners of the night were Melbourne High School from Victoria, and Eagleby State Schools from Queensland. As the Regional Award winner, Melbourne High School will represent Australia in the Asia-Pacific KWN Regional Contest in Singapore.
