Enjoy viewing high-definition 1920 x 1080-pixel images with a 16:9 aspect ratio on your living room's large-screen HDTV. By simply inserting an SDHC/SD Memory Card containing your photos into a Panasonic HDTV equipped with an SDHC/SD card slot*, you can view pictures of family and friends, and images of memorable moments. Let the high-resolution images of your large-screen HDTV transform the room into a photo gallery, and gather around to share the excitement.

*The SDHC Memory Card can be used only if the SDHC logo is indicated on the equipment or in the operation manual. It cannot be used with equipment that supports only the SD Memory Card.

What’s HD Photo?

All LUMIX models are able to shoot with 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution and a wide 16:9 aspect ratio. The feature that lets you view these photos on a TV is HD Photo. Enjoy watching full-screen 16:9 images of memorable moments and the smiling faces of your family and friends.

What's HD?

HD stands for high definition. It is often used when referring to TV standards. The maximum resolution for digital broadcasting is 1920 x 1080 pixels. The latest TV models are designed to take advantage of this high resolution.

In other words...You can view your photos with the highest possible resolution for each HDTV.

Select from 3 Aspect Ratios

The aspect ratio for the DMC-FX35(FX36) can be easily selected from 16:9* wide, 3:2** and conventional 4:3 to shoot in the framing aspect that best suits the photo's composition or purpose of use. The conventional 4:3 ratio enables 25mm wide-angle shooting. The 3:2 ratio produces 26mm shots similar to those from a film camera. And the 16:9 ratio gives you 27mm images that match the aspect ratio of an HDTV screen. Wide-angle shooting is possible in all three aspect ratios.

HD Motion Images (30/15 fps)*

New

The DMC-FX35(FX36) can also record motion images in high-definition (1280 x 720 pixels at 30/15 fps)*. The pixel mixed readout method enables bright motion-image recording even in low-light settings. When viewing, these high-resolution 16:9 motion images will provide a remarkable effect on your large-screen TV**. The DMC-FX35(FX36) can also record stunning full-size movies in WVGA (848 x 480 pixels at 30/10 fps)* or standard motion images in VGA (640 x 480 pixels at 30/10 fps)*.

MOV file 30.9MB

*QuickTime Motion JPEG
**Requires an optional HD component cable DMW-HDC2 and confirm that the TV, you are connecting to, has a component input terminal compatible with a 1080i signal.
***In Motion Picture mode, the length of recording time depends on the capacity of the SDHC/SD Memory Card. (Up to the equivalent of 2 GB per motion-image recording.) When you set the motion picture quality to VGA 30fps, WVGA 30fps and HD(1280x720 pixels) 30/15fps, we recommend using a high-speed memory card with "10MB/s" or greater on the package. Some lens movement sounds may be recorded.
****For Europe, motion images can be recorded continuously for up to 15 minutes.

USB 2.0 High-Speed

New

The DMC-FX35(FX36) supports the USB 2.0 high-speed standard. In comparison with conventional full-speed data transfer at 12 Mbps, USB 2.0 high-speed transfers data at a fast 480 Mbps. This is a highly practical speed for sending high-volume image data from the camera to a PC for viewing or storage.

PHOTOfunSTUDIO Version 2.0 -Viewer - gives you a single interface to easily manage your growing photo collection, and editing functions to enhance your images.

ArcSoft software (MediaImpression/Panorama Maker) gives you a lot of fun editing functions.

PictBridge Compatible - Direct Print Function

*KX -PX20(optional)

The PictBridge standard lets you print directly on a compatible digital printer. Print size, layout, date and other settings can be made with the camera. Of course, you can also make multiple prints of an image, or print only the ones that you have selected.
With the optional Panasonic KX-PX20 printer, you can simply insert an SDHC/SD Memory Card into the card slot to print borderless pictures with the 16:9 aspect ratio or select from a variety of standard decorative frames.

What You Get with 10.1-megapixel Resolution

It is generally recommended that images for large, A3-size (420 mm x 297 mm) prints have a resolution of at least 8 megapixels. The 10-megapixel resolution of the DMC-FX35(FX36) naturally satisfies this condition, and also lets you output photos in A4 size (297 mm x 210 mm) with image quality that rivals the 300-dpi resolution of commercially printed materials. Photos in ordinary sizes (127 mm x 89 mm or 178 mm x 127 mm) come out beautifully at 3 megapixels. You can trim the photos any way you want.

A tiny adjustment. Trim to 6 megapixels. For a better look at those smiles. Trim to 3 megapixels.
