No.24 KX-HGW600 may assign the same IP address to two or more PCs. In this case, “Overlapped IP address” message is displayed on the PC. [Troubleshoot: HGW600]
(2003/03/06)
Answer... The PC may be running local firewall software that prevents the KX-HGW600 from recognizing it. The KX-HGW600 uses a ping to check if the same IP address is not used when assigning IP addresses to Network Cameras and PCs using the DHCP function. Some firewall software ignores ping requests, and does not perform the IP address identification. Therefore, the same IP address may be assigned to two or more PCs.

This problem can be solved by registering the PC running the firewall software using the “Static DHCP” of the KX-HGW600, or by disabling the firewall software temporarily, or by setting the IP address manually.
No.25 The images are not displayed on the Camera Portal page that is connected to the broadband router via the Internet. [Troubleshoot: HGW600]
(2003/03/06)
Answer... The image on the Camera Portal page is connected with the private IP address and port number.

When you view the Camera Portal page via the Internet, connect KX-HGW 600 to the modem directly or to the bridge that can assign the WAN side IP address to the KX-HGW600.

You can view images without accessing the camera portal page when you use the Port forwarding of the broadband router.
No.26 I am not viewing the Network Camera, yet the Indicator of the Network Camera blinks green. Why? [Troubleshoot: HGW600]
(2003/03/06)
Answer... If the Indicator Control of the Network Camera is set to [Turn on the Indicator during Camera access], this will happen.

The KX-HGW600 accesses the Network Cameras about once every 2 seconds to get an image. This causes the Indicator to blink.

To stop the Indicator blinking, perform the following operation. Click [Screen Assignment] on the Camera Setup window. Change the Screen Format to [Camera Name and Still Image] or [Camera Name Only] instead of [Camera Name and Still Image (refreshing)].
