Make Lessons More Engaging and Effective

If you've ever thought that creating teaching materials was a lot of work, you'll be pleased to see how easy it is with elite Panaboard. In addition to pens and other drawing tools, you get a Magnifier to enlarge parts of the screen, and a Screen Shade to conceal answers for more fun, more interesting lessons. The elite Panaboard book that comes with these tools also lets you create new materials by combining parts from a large collection of illustrations and graphics. Students enjoy taking part in the interactive and exciting lessons that result.

These are basic tools for operating the UB-T880W / UB-T880 / UB-T580W / UB-T580 with the Electronic Pen.* It includes a selection of drawing tools, such as pens and erasers.

* When the Selector Dial of the Electronic Pen is set to Mouse, the Drawing Menu cannot be launched.
* Electronic Pen is optional for the UB-T580W / UB-T580.

1 Line
Draw straight lines.
2 Shapes
Draw a variety of pre-defined shapes.

Close the Drawing Menu.
4 Colorful Pen
You can draw free-form lines with a variety of patterns.
5 Pen (Marker/Highlighter/Eraser)
Draw or erase with the tool that is selected with the electronic pen's Selector Dial: Marker/Highlighter/Eraser. You can switch the color for the Marker tool and the Highlighter tool with the Selector Dial.
6 All Clear
You can clear all drawn data from the screen.
7 Shape Recognition
Free-form lines drawn in one stroke are recognized and converted to shapes.
8 Text Recognition
Free-form lines can be recognized and converted to text.
9 Settings
You can change the settings for the following tools: Marker, Highlighter, Eraser, Colorful Pen, Line, Shapes, Text Recognition, Display Settings of Menu. You can change settings such as the line width or color for each function.
Select Function Menu

These are basic tools for operating the UB-T880W / UB-T880 / UB-T580W / UB-T580 with a finger or the Stylus Pen.*
You can use the various functions to draw or edit text and graphics.

* When the Selector Dial of the Electronic Pen is set to Mouse, the Select Function Menu can also be launched with the Electronic Pen.
* Stylus Pen is optional for the UB-T880W / UB-T880.

1 Shrinking/Expansion
You can change the number of buttons displayed in the Select Function Menu between two levels.
2 Settings
You can change settings such as the line width or color for each function. You can also set it so the written lines gradually disappear after a predetermined length of time.
3 Close
You can close the Select Function Menu.
4 Line
Draw straight lines.
5 Shapes
Draw a variety of pre-defined shapes.
6 Mouse
You can perform the same operations as you would with a mouse.
7 Marker (Black/Red/Blue/Green)
Draw free-form lines for pictures and characters.
8 Colorful Pen
You can draw free-form lines with a variety of patterns.
9 Highlighter
Paint over lines, shapes, text and other objects on the page you want to emphasize. The background desktop image will be displayed through the highlighter.
10 Shape Recognition
Free-form lines drawn in one stroke are recognized and converted to shapes.
11 Text Recognition
Free-form lines can be recognized and converted to text.
12 Eraser
You can erase your drawings on the screen. Free-form lines can be erased in parts.
13 On-Screen Keyboard
Displays the on-screen keyboard (handwriting tablet) or clears the display.
14 White Background
You can display the entire desktop as white. You can have a maximum of 10 pages in White Background mode.
15 All Clear
You can clear all drawn data from the screen.
16 Undo
You can undo an action.
17 Redo
You can redo an action that you previously undid.
18 Refresh
If any lines, shapes, text, or other objects that you have drawn disappear, this function redisplays them in their original positions.
19 Magnifier
You can enlarge a section of the image projected on the elite Panaboard.
20 Spotlight
You can display a portion of the image displayed by elite Panaboard as though a spotlight were shining on it.
21 Screen Shade
You can hide a section of the image projected on the elite Panaboard with a gray box.

23 Slide Show
You can start PowerPoint from the Select Function Menu and display a slide show. During a slide show, any items that you draw will be remembered for each slide.
24 Application Launcher
You can start the Desktop Info Camera application, the Voting System application, and the Teleconference System application.
25 Capture
Captures the desktop image as an image file. The file can be saved in bmp, jpg, or Tiff file format.
26 Recorder
You can record a movie of the projected image and your operations.
27 Print
Print the screen and all drawing data displayed on the desktop.
elite Panaboard book

elite Panaboard book is a free drawing application included with the UB-T880W / UB-T880 / UB-T580W / UB-T580. It contains a collection of illustrations and also lets you archive Web images in its gallery. In class, this software can be used to provide dynamic lessons that will hold your students' attention.

Prepare your teaching materials with a PC

Use the elite Panaboard book to prepare your teaching materials. Once you have decided on the theme and content, use the following tools to create easy-to-see, easy-to-understand materials.

Using during the lesson

Simply open the file that you previously created, and start your lesson. You can add content as the lesson proceeds, and retrieve materials as you need them. Use is extremely flexible.

(1) Main Window
This is the area where the elite Panaboard book functions can be used.
(2) Gallery

This gallery, which is included with the elite Panaboard book, gives you around 6,000 illustrations to choose from. You can also insert photos onto the page.

(3) Toolbar
Use the text, marker, highlight, arrows, and other tools to insert the necessary items.
(4) Shade
For parts that you want the students to answer during the lesson, insert the answers and then hide them with shading.
Making Handwritten Characters Clearer

Handwritten characters are converted into typed characters, right before your eyes.

Save the Screen Data Easily
Exporting to PDF
Because you can save and distribute the things you write onto your elite Panaboard book as a PDF file, you can use it for easily revising or archiving your lesson content later.
Adding Fun with Motion Images
Movie Player
Images (avi, wmv, mpg, mpeg, or swf) can be inserted into the elite Panaboard book and played back. Lessons are more engaging when they contain a variety of images.
Adjustable Display Height

Use this to lower the display for easier viewing by younger (smaller) children.

As you proceed with the lesson, you can freely write in text, draw pictures, and add illustrations to help the students understand. You can also have students write directly onto the interactive whiteboard as well
(2) Attachments
When you want to explain things in more detail, you can retrieve other files from your PC. For example, if you have Internet access, you can register shortcuts to URLs in advance. You can make shortcuts to files and Web links here.
(3) Magnifier
Enlarges part of the image projected onto the board.
(4) Spotlight
This tool lets you shine a spotlight on part of the screen. It is an effective way to attract the students' attention to a particular place on the board.
(5) Screen Shade
Hides part of the image projected onto the board with a gray shade
(6) On-Screen Keyboard
Displays the on-screen keyboard (handwriting tablet) or clears the display.
(7) Desktop Info Camera
Press this button to activate the desktop info camera to show everyone the information in front of you, or to display images such as photos.
