Drawing Menu

These are basic tools for operating the UB-T580W / UB-T580 with an Electronic Pen.* It includes a selection of drawing tools, such as pens and erasers.

* When the Selector Dial of the Electronic Pen is set to Mouse, the Drawing Menu cannot be launched.
* Electronic Pen is optional for the UB-T580W / UB-T580.

1 Line
Draw straight lines.
2 Shapes
Draw a variety of pre-defined shapes.
3 Close
Close the Drawing Menu.
4 Colorful Pen
You can draw free-form lines with a variety of patterns.
5 Pen (Marker/Highlighter/Eraser)
Draw or erase with the tool that is selected with the electronic pen's Selector Dial: Marker/Highlighter/Eraser. You can switch the color for the Marker tool and the Highlighter tool with the Selector Dial.
6 All Clear
You can clear all drawn data from the screen.
7 Shape Recognition
Free-form lines drawn in one stroke are recognized and converted to shapes.
8 Text Recognition
Free-form lines can be recognized and converted to text.
9 Settings
You can change the settings for the following tools: Marker, Highlighter, Eraser, Colorful Pen, Line, Shapes, Text Recognition, Display Settings of Menu. You can change settings such as the line width or color for each function.

These are basic tools for operating the UB-T580W / UB-T580 with a finger or the Stylus Pen.*
You can use the various functions to draw or edit text and graphics.

* When the Selector Dial of the Electronic Pen is set to Mouse, the Select Function Menu can also be launched with the Electronic Pen.

1 Shrinking/Expansion
You can change the number of buttons displayed in the Select Function Menu between two levels.
2 Settings
You can change settings such as the line width or color for each function.
You can also set it so the written lines gradually disappear after a predetermined length of time.
3 Close
You can close the Select Function Menu.
4 Line
Draw straight lines.
5 Shapes
Draw a variety of pre-defined shapes.
6 Mouse
You can perform the same operations as you would with a mouse.
7 Marker (Black/Red/Blue/Green)
Draw free-form lines for pictures and characters.
8 Colorful Pen
You can draw free-form lines with a variety of patterns.
9 Highlighter
Paint over lines, shapes, text and other objects on the page you want to emphasize. The background desktop image will be displayed through the highlighter.
10 Shape Recognition
Free-form lines drawn in one stroke are recognized and converted to shapes.
11 Text Recognition
Free-form lines can be recognized and converted to text.
12 Eraser
You can erase your drawings on the screen. Free-form lines can be erased in parts.
13 On-Screen Keyboard
Displays the on-screen keyboard (handwriting tablet) or clears the display.
14 White Background
You can display the entire desktop as white. You can have a maximum of 10 pages in White Background mode.
15 All Clear
You can clear all drawn data from the screen.
16 Undo
You can undo an action.
17 Redo
You can redo an action that you previously undid.
18 Refresh
If any lines, shapes, text, or other objects that you have drawn disappear, this function redisplays them in their original positions.
19 Magnifier
You can enlarge a section of the image projected on the elite Panaboard.
20 Spotlight
You can display a portion of the image displayed by elite Panaboard as though a spotlight were shining on it.
21 Screen Shade
You can hide a section of the image projected on the elite Panaboard with a gray box.

23 Slide Show
You can start PowerPoint from the Select Function Menu and display a slide show. During a slide show, any items that you draw will be remembered for each slide.
24 Application Launcher
You can start the Desktop Info Camera application, the Voting System application, and the Teleconference System application.
25 Capture
Captures the desktop image as an image file. The file can be saved in bmp, jpg, or Tiff file format.
26 Recorder
You can record a movie of the projected image and your operations.
27 Print
Print the screen and all drawing data displayed on the desktop.
elite Panaboard book

This is the easy way to create presentation materials. You can prepare all the materials you need in advance and keep them in the Attachments folder. Then, you can easily retrieve saved data during the presentation, and even add handwritten information to images. It's the ultimate in convenience.

A Toolbar
Displays commands that you can use with elite Panaboard book.
B Page

Displays thumbnail images of the document pages.

C Gallery
A collection of various images, arranged by theme.
D Attachments
You can include external files (Excel spreadsheets, photographs, etc.) that you can access during a presentation using elite Panaboard book.
E Move Window Button
This function shrinks and moves the elite Panaboard book window to the bottom of the screen. Clicking it again returns the window to its original position. This function is useful when you cannot reach the top of the screen with your hand.
F Main Window
This is the area where the elite Panaboard book functions can be used.
G Magnifier
You can enlarge a section of the image projected on the elite Panaboard.
H Screen Shade
You can hide a section of the image projected on the elite Panaboard with a gray box.
I Spotlight
You can display a portion of the image displayed by elite Panaboard as though a spotlight were shining on it.
J On-Screen Keyboard
