User Authentication not only blosters security by using the same user names and passwords registered in the Windows Active Directory server, but also enables the setting of usage restrictions on printing and copying for efficient cost management and control. Optional account management software can also be combined to track usage conditions, for higher security and lower total costs.

User Authentication / Job Tracking

To prevent viewing of confidential information in the output tray, you can send ID-registered print jobs to a shared "Mailbox" on the Hard Disk. The job will not be printed until a user enters the matching ID on the control panel.

Mailbox Printing

This function erases all remaining copy, print and scan data from the hard disk. It also prevents confidential information from being leaked when disposing of the MFP by erasing all hard disk data with a single operation.

HDD Data Erasure

The optional Data Security Kit can reinforce the machines overall security. For example, with the Hard Disk Drive Lock function you can set your own password, which would protect your hard disk from outside access even when the hard disk is detached. You can also fortify the password certification with the Key Operator Mode to make your machine even less vulnerable.

The certification obtained for this product regarding information security indicates that, as a result of evaluation based on given evaluation criteria and evaluation method, the target of evaluation used for such evaluation has been determined to conform to the security assurance requirements.
