Quick start-ups and energy-saving efficiency

Panasonic color MFPs are ready to use only 15 seconds from sleep mode and 18 seconds after turning on the power. A unique IH (induction heating) fusing process cuts start-up time to 1/3 that of previous types, and shortens the wait for urgent print or copy jobs. Because it instantly raises the fusing unit temperature, it also eliminates the need to heat the unit during standby, which lowers overall power consumption.

The fuser also cools rapidly as well. This means that the machine doesn't need to run fans to remain cool in standby mode and even when a print has been made they quickly return to near silent standby mode. By using charge rollers rather than corona wires we have also managed to eliminate ozone emissions.

Panasonic's unique IH fusing process

IH fusing makes it possible to boost the fusing unit temperature almost instantaneously, so there's no need to keep heating the unit in standby mode. An ultra-thin, double-roller belt and precise control of the ferrite roller inside the heat roller enable waste-free heating. These technologies greatly reduce power consumption.
