Setup procedure IPsec Transport mode (IPv4)
The instructions provided here explain the setup procedure on the PC (Windows XP) on an encrypted communication.
* Create IP security policy
Step 1: Setup local security
- Choose [Control Panel] - [Performance and Maintenance] - [Management Tool] - Local Security Policy], and then the following screen is displayed.



Step 2. IP security policy wizard
- Click [IP Security Policy] on a local PC and Choose [Operation] - Create Local Security Policy], and then the screen of Figure 2 is displayed.

- Enter a proper name in [Name] and click [Next].

- Set OFF in the check box and click [Next].

- Set ON in the check box and click [Next] and then the following screen is displayed.

- Click [Add] and then Wizard screen is displayed.

Step 3. Wizard to create IP security rule
- Click [Next].

- Choose [Not specify Tunnel under the rule] and click [Next].

- Choose [All Network Connection] and click [Next].

- Choose [Use the following character string for Key Exchange (Pre-shared Key) protection and enter proper characters and then click [Next].

- Click [Add].

Step 4. IP filter wizard (PC to camera)
- Enter proper file name in [Name] and click [Add].

- Click [Next] after displaying IP filter wizard screen.

- Here, the rule of packet to transfer form the PC to the camera should be set up. Specify [IP address of this PC] as origin address and click [Next].

- Specify [Specific IP address] as destination address and enter the IP address of the camera in the box of IP address. 200.0.0.253 is shown for example. This address may be changed according to the network environment.

- Specify [TCP] on selection of protocol and click [Next].

- Choose [Any origin port] and specify 80 on [Next destination port] and click [Next].

- Choose [Edit Property] and click [Complete].

- Set [Mirrorization] to OFF and click [OK].

Step 5. IP filter wizard (camera to PC)
- Click [Add].

- Click [Next] after displaying IP filter wizard screen.

- Here, the rule of packet to transfer form the camera to the PC should be set up. Specify [Specific IP address] as origin address and enter the IP address of the camera, and then click [Next].

- Specify [the IP address of this PC] as [Destination address] and click [Next].

- Specify [TCP] on selection of protocol and click [Next].

- Specify 80 on [Next destination port] and Choose [Any origin port], and then click [Next].

- Choose [Edit Property] and click [Complete].

- Set [Mirrorization] to OFF and click [OK].

- Click [OK].

Step 6. Wizard to operate filter of IP security
- Choose [Created File] and click [Next].

- Click [Add].

- Click [Next].

- Enter a proper name as [Name to operate file] and click [Next].

- Choose [Security Negotiate] and click [Next].

- Choose [No communication with the PC which does not support IPsec] and click [Next].

- Choose [Custom] and click [Setup].

- Set [Compatibility of data and encryption (ESP)] to ON, and choose "SHA1" as Compatibility Algorithm and "3DES" as Cipher Algorithm. As an additional plus, choose [Generation Interval of a new key] and specify "3600" and then click OK.

- Click [Next].

- Choose [Edit Property] and click [Complete].

- Set only [PFS of Session Key] in check box and click [OK].

- Click [Next].

- Set OFF in the check box and click [Finish].

- Click [Close].

Assign IP security policy
- Choose created IP security policy on [Local security setup], and choose [operation] - [Assign]. Encrypted communication turns to available by the above. Encrypted communication setup is completed.
