Viewnetcam Information

Registration procedure [ BL-C1xx, C2xx / BB-HCM7xx, HCM5xx Series ]

[ Configuring the camera to use Viewnetcam.com ]

  1. Step 1.
    Click the [Setup] tab.
     
  2. Step 2.
    On the left side of the screen under [Basic], click [DynamicDNS].
     
  3. Step 3.
    Select [Viewnetcam.com], then click [Next].
     
     
  4. Step 4.
    Click [Save].
    When setup is complete, [Success!] is displayed.
     
     
  5. Step 5.
    Click [Go to Viewnetcam.com page].
     
     
  6. Step 6.
    Click [Your Account Link].
     
  7. Step 7.
    The Viewnetcam.com website is displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions to register with Viewnetcam.com.
    If the Viewnetcam.com website is not displayed, confirm that your PC can access the Internet, then click your web browser's refresh button.
    When registration is complete, you can access the camera using the Viewnetcam.com URL you selected during registration.
    • *Note
      -If you have already registered with Viewnetcam.com, your personalized URL is displayed. This is the address you can use to access the camera over the Internet.
      -If [Your Account Link] is not displayed, confirm that you have registered with Viewnetcam.com and that your PC can access the Internet, then click your web browser's refresh button. Typically [Global IP Address Notification Method] should be set to [Normal].
      -If you cannot access the camera using the registered URL 30 minutes after registering with Viewnetcam.com, select [Advanced]. In this case, UPnP must be enabled for the camera and for the router.
      -If the global IP address of the router changes frequently, the camera may not be able to be accessed over the Internet. In this case, set the [Updating time] setting to a lower (shorter) value.(10 min)
  8. Confirming your Viewnetcam.com registration
    You can confirm that the camera has been successfully registered to Viewnetcam.com.
    1. Click the [Maintenance] tab.
    2. On the left side of the screen under [Maintenance], click [Status].
    3. Under [Viewnetcam.com], confirm that [Enabled (2)] is displayed.
    • *Note
      If the status is displayed as [Expired], confirm that you have registered with Viewnetcam.com, or restart the camera and access this page again.

Registration procedure [ BL-Cxx / BB-HCM3xx Series ]

[ Configuring the camera to use Viewnetcam.com ]

  1. Step 1.
    Click [Viewnetcam.com] on the Setup page.
     
  2. Step 2.
    Check [Enable].
    Clicking [Cancel] cancels your settings without saving changes.

     
  3. Step 3.
    Click [Save] when finished.
    New settings are saved.
    When finished, "Success!" is displayed.
    • *Enable
      Check [Enable] to register with the Viewnetcam.com service. If you clear the box, the Viewnetcam.com service stops.

    • *Personal (Camera) URL
      The camera's personal URL will be displayed after you register with the Viewnetcam.com service.

    • *Your Account Link
      The URL is displayed to register with the Viewnetcam.com service. Clicking [Your Account Link] item name displays the Viewnetcam.com registration website.
  4. Step 4.
    Click [Go to Viewnetcam.com page].
    The Viewnetcam.com page is displayed.
     
  5. Step 5.
    Click [Your Account Link].
    The Viewnetcam.com registration website is displayed.
      *Notes
    • -When the Viewnetcam.com registration website is not displayed, confirm that the URL is displayed in the right column of the Your Account Link. If the URL is not displayed, follow the procedures below.
    • -Personal (Camera) URL is available after you registered with the Viewnetcam.com service.
    • -If port forwarding is not enabled or your network is not connected to the Internet, the Viewnetcam.com service is not available.
  6. Step 6.
    Register with the Viewnetcam.com service following the website.
    The Viewnetcam.com page is displayed.
     
  7. Step 7.
    Access the camera with a registered URL from the Internet
    When the Top page is displayed, the Viewnetcam.com registration is complete.
      *Notes
    • -It may take a maximum of 30 minutes for the registered URL to work.
    • -If "Expired" is displayed at the Personal (Camera) URL on the Viewnetcam.com page or at the Camera URL in the DDNS on the Status page, restart the camera. After that, confirm that your registered URL is displayed on their pages.
    • -Confirming the Internet access
    • -Due to the router specifications, the image may not be displayed even if you access the camera from your PC on the same LAN as the camera. In this case, access the camera following procedures.

How do I register my camera?
To set up your new Panasonic Network Camera, please follow the instructions below:
(your camera must be operating correctly on your home network before you attempt to register the camera. Please refer to Section of Setup in the "Operation Instructions" manual)
 
  1. Step 1.
    Pull up the "Configuration" screen in the setup software that is part of the attached CD-ROM.

  2. Step 2.
    Check "DDNS Enable" in the Setup Box and enter your e-mail address in Box (a) and click Save. Make sure that you router's port forwarding is setup correctly. When the screen shows that the setup was successful, click OK. If the camera succeeds in connecting to the Viewnetcam.com's server, an e-mail containing the "Registration URL" will be sent to the address you used during the registration process.

  3. Step 3.
    When the e-mail is received, visit the Viewnetcam.com registration web page. Complete the registration and choose your web domain name.
     
  4. Step 4.
    Now your network camera is ready for the Internet. Provide your personal URL address to your family, friends or business partners. They can easily access your camera by just entering your personal URL address into their web browser ( just like you would enter any website address except that you don't need the "www" prefix ), and you will see just what your camera is seeing ... live!
