A long roll-out of screens has crept through Hamburg Airport over the past few years.
Over 350 plasma displays have been installed throughout the terminals at one of busiest commuter airports in Europe. Passengers can now enjoy digital timetabling to check their flight details, and also enjoy entertainment in other areas through the medium of these screens.
Precise and up to date information is transmitted to the screens from a central computer system through an analogue/VGA distribution system.
Displays are also used at the luggage belts displaying baggage location information & in the boarding lounges showing aircraft scheduling data.
The professional plasma displays replaced traditional CRT monitors during an equipment refresh & the slim, sleek design keeps space required to a minimum.
Panasonic Deutschland (Corporate Marketing Division) also installed 2 x 65-inch plasma displays which are used as E-posters.
