Career in brief

At the age of 17, Neymar Jr. signed a full professional contract with Santos FC. At 20, he recorded more than 140 scores and that surpass the records of legendary player Zico and Romario during that time. In year 2011, he was nominated for FIFA Ballon d'Or, and it was first time player who had never played in Europe that got nominated and also at the youngest age of 19. He has received many other awards as a team and individual (see below). From August 2013, Neymar Jr. kicked off his first season by joining FC Barcelona, one of the world’s most prestigious clubs. His rare talent for soccer helped him lead his team to a triple crown of championships in 2015 through the greatest team play in the sport's history between the trio of himself, Messi and Suarez—or "MSN." More recently, Neymar was selected as a final candidate for the FIFA Ballon d'Or award for the 2015-16 season. His day as the world's number-one player is soon coming.
