Because the development and production facilities and sales offices are separated, communication between them was time-consuming and costly, and it was difficult to hold meetings or exchange opinions easily. We tried installing a system that used the Internet and a web camera, but the image quality was poor. It wasn't at the level where we could use it for examining detailed product information such as surface and cross-sectional processing. Also, the sound quality was poor, and calls were being interrupted mid-conversation, so we started considering a new system based on the following points.

Thanks to HD image quality that shows even subtle details, like the degree of a product's cross-sectional processing, and lifelike sound that isn't interrupted, we can hold meetings with people in distant locations as if we were all in the same room. The system has a wide range of uses, including product planning, development and management and sales meetings.
I think that even more than the effect of reducing the costs and time related to physical movement, the ease with which we can connect and communicate has had a major effect on our product development and rapid problem-solving.
