The HD Video Conferencing Unit connects national organizing committees.

An expanding network utilizing the HD Video Conferencing Unit connects the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland with OCOG such as those for the London 2012 Olympic Games, Sochi 2014 Olympic Games and the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games. The IOC Session to select the location for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Durban, South Africa in July. And the HD Video Conferencing Unit will be set up there to provide a connection to the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland during preparations for the event.
Those involved have given high marks to the conferencing system functions and the quality of video and conferencing, and the system is being utilized more and more for remote conferences spanning the globe based on that trustworthy quality. The system plays a vital role in holding environmentally friendly 21st century Olympic Games as it eliminates the need for air travel, reducing time and costs. In this way, the HD Video Conferencing Unit will continue to contribute to enhance communication between remote locations.
