Attendees of the 2010 World Business Forum, the largest business event in the United States where top business, political and academic figures meet to debate pressing issues, saw the Panasonic HD Visual Communications System (HDVC) in action. As the Official Video Conference System of this year's Forum, the Panasonic HDVC took center stage for use during long-distance Q&A sessions. The World Business Forum took place October 5 and 6 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The Panasonic HDVC system was used to connect leaders representing major companies in other parts of North America to the live presentation. Questions posed by the executives were seen and heard in High Definition on multiple displays on the main stage.
"Only a video conferencing solution of the highest caliber fits the bill for an event featuring influential business leaders such as former Vice President Al Gore and former GE Chairman and CEO Jack Welch," said Bill Taylor, President of Panasonic System Networks Company of America. "Panasonic's HDVC makes it possible for businesspeople to easily and naturally bridge distance and time zones. This is not just a conference phone with video—it's an innovation that replicates the experience of being in the same room with colleagues who work in a different state or half way around the world."
