The issue is that Windows Server 2008 does not have certain multimedia
components installed - Windows Media player, thus software that utilizes
DirectShow and DirectX will not work.

Here is how to get Windows Server 2008 up to speed.

Installing or uninstalling the Desktop Experience feature

You can install or uninstall Desktop Experience using the Initial
Configuration Tasks Wizard or Server Manager.
To install Desktop Experience using the Initial Configuration Tasks Wizard


In the Customize This Server section, click Add features.

Select the Desktop Experience check box, and install media player, and
then click Next.

Complete the wizard by clicking Install.

To install Desktop Experience using Server Manager

Open Server Manager: click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and
click Server Manager.
Note :
You can also open Server Manager by typing the following at a command
prompt:

servermanager.msc

Select Add Features

Select the Desktop Experience check box, and install media player, and
then click Next.

Complete the wizard by clicking Install.

Click the "Start" button, and click "Run".
Then enter "regedit" and click "OK".
Change the following settings:

- Enable the NTP server
Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpServer\
Value name: Enabled
Type: DWORD
Value data: 0x1 (Default: 0x0)

- Configure Windows Time service as an authoritative time server
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config
Value name: AnnounceFlags
Type: DWORD
Value data: 0x5 (Default: 0xa)

- Configure to prevent synchronization with other NTP servers
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters
Value name: NTPServer
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: (Blank)

- Set the dispersion value of the local clock
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config
Value name: LocalClockDispersion
Type: DWORD
Value data: 0x0 (Default: 0xa)

After the registry is changed, perform the following command to restart the service.
net stop w32time && net start w32time

Windows 2000 computers can be configured only as an SNTP server. Subsequent computers based on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 can be configured as an NTP server.

Check if the Internet Explorer's Zoom specification has been changed, for example from 100% to 120%.

WJ-GXD400 Ver.2.10 and later supports WV-SP102. If the video is VGA, full-rate can be displayed in six screens regardless of the bit rate setting.

From the four channels, when you access one of the channels with a PC, one session is used.For any channel, up to ten sessions are allowed besides the "Priority stream".
(Please note that with the Internet mode, available number of sessions is reduced by two.)

The alarm occurrence factor bit will only be 111 or 000. If the alarm is received from the connector of the main device, the occurrence factor bit will be 111. The connector number bit will contain the number of the connector when the alarm occurred. If the alarm is received from the encoder, an expansion area is appended.
