A behavior called "flooding" will occur. In particular, image data will be streamed to every port it is connected (multicast) to. This will not be a critical issue when few cameras are connected to the switch. However, when more cameras are connected, a huge amount of data will arrive at the cameras. This might prevent the cameras from receiving requests they should accept.
