Panasonic has supported the Olympic Games in the areas of image and sound since it took on sponsorship of the Olympic Games. For the Beijing Olympic Games, Panasonic plans to install the largest scale system used to date.

The Beijing National Stadium will feature track and field events, football, and the opening and closing ceremonies. The main stadium, the National Stadium, is built in the unique shape of its nickname, “Bird’s Nest”.
Two 152m2 ASTROVISION screens have been installed in the venue.

The Beijing National Aquatics Center is where swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo competitions will be held. The impressive exterior which looks like “water-cube” is now a popular topic.
One 52m2 ASTROVISION and one 28m2 ASTROVISION have been installed inside.

The Workers’ Stadium will host football games.
Installed in this venue is a 120.5m2 ASTROVISION with horizontal rotation capacity of 270 degrees makes it possible to send information to both inside and outside.

One after the other, through the pre-Olympic Game series “Good Luck Beijing”, equipment related to the Beijing Olympic Games has taken the lead. Of course the Panasonic system also is beginning to be used, supporting facility management steadily and at times spectacularly.

Laoshan Velodrome

Bicycle tracks are exhibited at the Laoshan Velodrome. Panasonic’s AV security equipment “SYSTEM650EX” is installed.
This Panasonic technology makes it possible to easily install complicated system architecture. This technology will make a great contribution to the construction of coming Olympic facilities.

National Convention Center (International Broadcast Center / Fencing Venue)

National Convention Center

During the Olympic Games, the National Convention Center will be used as the Fencing Venue, Press Center and Broadcast Center.
Approximately 2,000 cameras are installed in the venue as part of the Panasonic AV security equipment, including the WV-CF284 Color Dome Camera and others.

The Beijing University Gymnasium is the venue for table tennis competitions. Installed in this venue are the RAMSA large speaker P series (WS-P164: 18 units / WS-P194: 6 units) and two 28m2 ASTROVISION screens.
