- 2006. April
- All entrances and exits checked from teachers?room. Realising effective monitoring.
System Outline
Faced with a national increase in crimes committed against children, in November 2005, at Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, a city formed by the consolidation of adjoining Ono Town and Miyajima Town, in 30 elementary, middle schools and kindergartens, beginning with Hera and Miyauchi elementary schools, digital monitoring and recording systems with anti-crime lighting were delivered. At each school, Super Dynamic II outdoor housing combination colour camera WV-CW860A, Super Dynamic III outdoor housing combination colour camera WV-CW960, Digital Disk Recorder WJ-HD350, human sensor anti-crime lighting devices, and infrared radiation sensors have been adopted. Notably, strengthened monitoring and recording at the main gate and side gate is strictly enforced and people entries and exits are constantly monitored from the teachers?room.
Furthermore, during the night the human sensor anti-crime lighting device illumination is doubled to intimidate suspicious persons. The system is effective in preventing and restrain-ing crime both day and night and contributes to the enhancement of safety.
