Digital Monitoring and Recording System

2006. April
Improved security and service with simple to install, high-definition outdoor housing combination cameras.

Noguchi Koyu K.K. has adopted self-service in five of the company's 32 service stations centred in Yamagata Prefecture. According to instructions received from the fire depart-ment, the company is obligated to install monitoring cameras above self-service gasoline pumps. When self-service was begun in July 2005 at the Yamagata Bypass service station, digital monitoring and recording system cameras were introduced. This excellent monitoring system both in image quality and easy installation improved security and service is realised.

System Outline

Weather proof colour cameras WV-CW120 are installed to monitor the 20 gasoline pumps at the station. For each island there are two cameras, one on the left and the other one on the right, with the pumps sandwiched between to specifically photograph the filling process. Images taken by the cameras are then recorded on digital disk recorders. The digital disk recorders are interlocked with the gasoline pumps to automatically display the filling process from start to finish in one frame. It will not miss a single moment in the case of unforeseen problems. Also, a complete search function facilitates the verification of trouble and after-the-fact response.
