“Automatic Setup function” allows you to set up several Network Cameras automatically. This function supports Panasonic Network Cameras(KX-HCM series). You can finish setup just after connecting to the network and turning on Network Cameras. Even beginners can set up the Network Camera without confusion. Until now, to view the images of several Network Cameras via the Internet, not only beginners but also the expert had to spend a lot of time setting a Port Forwarding function(*1) for each Network Camera and broadband router. Also, they often cause errors in wide-ranging setup and take a bit more effort. Since this function automatically configures Network settings (IP address, port no., etc.), beginners can easily set up or add extra Network Cameras.

KX-HGW600 can record about 40,000 frames(*2) from the Network Camera in the SD memory card(*3). Currently, although the Network Camera can save about 560 frames(*4) in the integrated memory, the recording function of KX-HGW600 can increase recording number of images. In addition, you can specify the day of the week , “gstart and stop time” and the interval of recording by a recording function. For example, if the recording interval is set at every other minute, you can record images for 28 days. Also, you can back up images in order to change the SD memory card. You can select 6 types (16 MB - 512 MB) of SD memory card for usage.

Indicating Camera Portal page that shows maximum 16 Network Camera names and static images on the Camera Portal page. Network Camera has a Multi-Camera screen (*5) that can display four images simultaneously. And, we have a significant number of requests to require more than 4 images on a screen without setup. To meet these requests, KX-HGW600 sets up Network Camera automatically and displays 16 images on the Camera Portal page. You can use this function via the intranet or Internet. By just clicking the camera name on the Camera Portal page, you can view a real-time image.

Including the following function as a wireless broadband router.You don’t need to purchase another broadband router.

• Wireless Access Point Including wireless access point based on IEEE 802.11b. You can install the Network Camera easily with wireless communication. The wireless system allows you to install easily where you couldn’t install with hard wiring.
• Four kinds of Internet connection are supported. The following Internet connections are supported. “PPPoE Connection(*6)” “PPPoE Connection (IP unnumbered)(*7)” “DHCP Connection(*8)” “Static Connection(*9)” You can access to the Internet by CATV or xDSL.
• High Security KX-HGW600 has “Packet filtering” (*10) and “IP masquerade” (*11) for the security function as a router, and has the security functions of “SSID (ESSID)” (*13), “Encryption (WEP)”(*12) and “MAC address filtering”(*14) for the wireless communication. You can prevent access by other users, enhance security and protect privacy.
• Fast Ethernet KX-HGW600 has the Fast Ethernet. All ports have an automatic MDI/MDI-X feature, which means that either a “straight” or “cross” cable can be used to connect to any port.
