Mega-Pixel Resolution
Shooting at the high resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels allows a clear image even when enlarged. You can check any area you want by taking a closer look.

Adaptive Contrast Enhanced
When part of the image becomes extremely dark, the camera automatically compensates for it. It also corrects only dark parts, so the entire image is appropriately bright and easy to see.

Simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG
Cameras simultaneously send MPEG-4 images in three resolutions (VGA*1, QVGA, and SCIF), and JPEG images in four resolutions*2 in favour motion, standard, and favour clarity image-quality types. MPEG-4 is recommended for viewing smooth motion images, and JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images.
- *1 When viewing in VGA, only MPEG-4 playback offers a maximum of 30 fps.
- *2 The fourth JPEG format resolution is SXGA (1280 x 1024), with a frame rate of 7 fps.

* For JPEG only. The audio feature does not work on cell phones.
MPEG-4 Visual License
This product is licensed under the MPEG-4 Visual patent portfolio license for the personal and noncommercial use of a consumer for (i) encoding video in compliance with the MPEG-4 Visual Standard (“MPEG-4 Video”) and/or (ii) decoding MPEG-4 Video that was encoded by a consumer engaged in a personal and non-commercial activity and/or was obtained from a video provider licensed by MPEG LA to provide MPEG-4 Video. No license is granted or shall be implied for any other use. Additional information including that relating to promotional, internal and commercial uses and licensing may be obtained from MPEG LA, LLC.
See http://www.mpegla.com.
When installing the MPEG-4 viewer program on additional PCs, please purchase additional licenses (Model No. BB-HCA5A for USA, BB-HCA5CE for others).
SD/SDHC Memory Card Recording
A large number of images can be saved onto an SD/SDHC Memory Card inserted into the camera. The images on the card can be checked over the Internet, or if no network is being used, monitoring is possible using only the camera by simply storing the images onto the card.
- * The SD/SDHC Memory Card is sold separately. The camera supports 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB SD/SDHC Memory Cards.

*The cover is removed in the photo to show the function.
Progressive Scan
Progressive scanning provides better image quality than the interlace scanning system that is commonly used in TV broadcasting, and captures fast-moving subjects without blurring or color bleeding.

Easy PoE Power Supply*
Power is supplied through the Ethernet cable, so the network camera can be easily installed on the ceiling, since no additional work is required for a power outlet.(Power can also be supplied by an optional AC adaptor.)
- * To use the BB-HCM515, Internet access equipment and a power supply consisting of either a Power over Ethernet Hub or an AC adaptor are required.

Analog Video Output*1
By connecting a cable directly to the camera's video output terminal, you can use your existing TV or video recorder for monitoring. When using analog video output, the camera automatically switches to interlace scanning*2 to suppress flicker in motion images.
- *1-1 Compatible with both NTSC and PALsystems.
- *1-2 A mini video cable (with 3.5-mm mini plug) is required.
- *1-3 The camera cannot be controlled with analog video output.

Image Transfer Function
In accordance with preset settings,*1 the camera will automatically transfer images and a data log by e-mail,*2 FTP, or HTTP. This lets you check images only when needed, and helps prevent you from forgetting to check them.
- *1 Preset settings can include timer, alarm, and motion detection. With JPEG connection only.
- *2 POP before SMTP authentication and SMTP authentication (PLAIN, LOGIN and CRAM-MD5) are supported.
Remote Pan and Tilt Control
You can use a PC or cell phone directly to change the direction that the camera is facing while monitoring the image. This lets you monitor a large area with a single camera.
Operating Range

Pan (Display Range 170º max)
Tilt (Display Range 102º max)
10x Digital Zoom Function* (by area)
It's so reassuring to see your pet's happy face while you are out. A simple mouse operation is all you need to enlarge the image, using the 10x digital zoom, so you get a clear view of your pet's expression.
Click here for a demonstration of 10x digital zoom function.
- * This feature is not available when viewing on a cell phone.

Audio 2-way Communication*1
By using the built-in microphone and a separately purchased speaker, you can speak*2 to someone near the camera while monitoring. This gives you more precise communication to lessen the inconvenience of being in a distant location.
- *1 The audio feature does not work with cell phones.
- *2 Walkie-talkie type conversation.

Color Night View Mode*1 & New MOS Sensor
When the subject darkens, the camera automatically adjusts the brightness to show you the image. A CMOS image sensor and smooth motion capture at 30 frames/sec*2 combine to let you see down to a minimum of 3.0 lux. You see clear, easy-to-view images even in the dark.

- *1-1 The image tends to blur more than that in standard mode when viewing a moving subject in low light or when using the pan, tilt, or zoom function.
- *1-2 Some subjects may require additional time for focusing with the auto focus function.
- *1-3 When viewing a dark subject in Color Night View Mode, spots of white or colored light may appear in the image. This is a natural characteristic of the image sensor, and does not indicate a malfunction.
- *2 At 320 x 240 or 160 x 120 resolution.
Multi-camera Capability*1
Images from several cameras can be monitored and transceiver-type voice communication*2 can be used simultaneously.
- *1 Moving pictures from up to 9 cameras can be displayed on a single screen. Still images from up to 16 cameras can be displayed.
- *2 This function can be used only with a PC. It cannot be used with a cell phone.

Cell Phone Monitoring*
Still images from the camera can be checked on any cell phone that is capable of Internet access. The pan, tilt, and zoom functions can also be operated by using the cell phone.
- * Models that support JPEG only. The audio feature does not work on cell phones.
