Mega-Pixel & H.264/MPEG-4, Motion JPEG Moving Image Function
An advanced 1.3million Pixels Image Sensor being employed, BB-HCM705 enables you to check the details of any moving image more clearly than before.BB-HCM701 corresponds well to JPEG System, MPEG-4 System (which has a high image compression rate and so is suitable for monitoring any moving image) and H.264 System which is higher in image compression rate than MPEG-4 System. Through BB-HCM705, you can monitor any moving image properly in accordance with your purposes. Plus, simultaneous use of two different kinds of communication systems (*1-1) is possible with BB-HCM705. Its image-updating speed is 30 pcs/sec at max in case of [640 x 480 dots] of H.264. Therefore, you can catch any moving target through very smooth and high-definition image monitoring by BB-HCM705.
- Note: *1-1 Combination of simultaneous use of the two different communication systems is limited to [H.264 & Motion JPEG] or [MPEG-4 & Motion JPEG] only. Combination of [H.264 & MPEG-4] is not available.
- Note: *1-2 When you use any mobile phone for monitoring a moving image, the monitoring is available through JPEG only. The Camera7s Voice Function is not available in this case.
H.264/MPEG-4 Visual License
When you use more than one(1) PCs to see any moving image by H.264, you are requested to buy User License Accessory (Item No. BB-HCA8) additionally.
- * When you use more than one(1) PCs to see any moving image by MPEG-4, you are requested to buy User License Accessory (Item No. BB-HCA5) additionally.
Extra zoom Function
Its Extra zoom Function enables you to zoom in any moving image clearly without deteriorating its image quality. This high image-quality zooming is available when you take out the target part from a moving image of [1280 x 960 dots] and put it onto an enlarged image of [640 x 480 dots].
- * Extra zoom Function is available only when the max. image size is set at [640 x 480 dots] mode.(When the max. image size is set at [1280 x 960 dots] mode, any image at [640 x 480 dots] or smaller mode cannot be available.
- * Simultaneous use with [2 x 2 Pixel Binning] is not available.
Compact Size and Good Conformity with the Ceiling
The size of BB-HCM705 is about 60% of its previous model*. This downsized camera is easy to be attached to the ceiling without deteriorating the appearance of the place. If you use Ceiling Flush Mount Bracket ( BB-HCA11 ) for attaching BB-HCM705 to the ceiling, the camera can be built in the ceiling, and so its appearance is kept good.

Easy Installation on Ceiling / Wall
BB-HCM705 can be easily installed not only on the ceiling but also on the wall. BB-HCM705 installed on the ceiling shows you what is going on from the overhead position, while BB-HCM705 installed on the wall shows you what is going on from almost the same position as our eyes. Thus, you can monitor and watch what is going on in several places from various positions if you install BB-HCM705 on the ceiling and/or the wall at your discretion.
Preset Sequence
If you preset the angle/direction of the camera of BB-HCM705 beforehand, you can check a moving image of the same place from its preset angle easily by clicking Preset Button on Operation Panel. You are recommended to preset the angle/direction of this camera when you need to check a moving image of the same place from the same direction so often. If you use this function, the camera regularly monitors the same place from pre-set angle/direction.
2x2 Pixel Binning
Through this function, 4 different sensor pixels are virtually processed as single pixel to improve thecamera's sensitivity so that you can check any moving image of a dark place.
- * The above picture shows an example of an image, by BB-HCM705, of [640 x 480 dots] under the 1 lux illuminance.
- * This function is available only in [640 x 480 dots mode].
[When the max. image size is set at [1280 x 960 dots] mode, any image at [640 x 480 dots] or smaller mode cannot be available.] - * ON/OFF mode of this function is already preset when this camera is delivered to you.Automatic switchover between ON and OFF is impossible.
- * When this function is used, Extra zoom Function is not available.
- * 4-Pixel Integration Function is turned ON, any image may be subject to be a little unclear than when the function is turned OFF.
- * This function cannot be used with 1280 x 960 display resolution.
- * The ON/OFF setting of this function is fixed and cannot be switched over automatically.
Image quality comparison
Sound Detection & Shock Detection Sensor
When BB-HCM705 senses or detects any sound or shock happening around the camera, this camera is designed to take a picture of anything relevant and temporarily save the relevant picture image*1. Such saved picture image can be checked on the screen for temporarily-saved picture images or saved on your PC. You can also transfer the saved picture image (must be in form of JPEG) to your e-mail address, FTP Server, HTTP Server and so on.
- Note*1 Any picture image in form of H.264 or MPEG-4 cannot be saved temporarily or transferred.Any picture image in form of MPEG cannot be saved temporarily or transferred either if the max. image size is set at [1280 x 960 dots]
Digital Pan-Tilt
When you zoom in or enlarge any image by Extra zoom or Digital zoom Function, you can pan-tilt the camera in the range of the normal-sized image (x 1.0).
- * Digital Pan-Tilt or other Pan-Tilt function cannot be available when you set the max image size at[1280 x 960 dots].
- * Digital Pan-Tilt or other Pan-Tilt function cannot be available unless you zoom in or enlarge any image by Extra zoom or Digital zoom Function (x 1.0).
- * Camera lens is fixed .
Easy PoE Power Suplly*
Power is supplied through the Ethernet cable, so the network camera can be easily installed on the ceiling, since no additional work is required for a power outlet.(Power can also be supplied by an optional AC adaptor.)
- * To use the BB-HCM705, Internet access equipment and a power supply consisting of either a Power over Ethernet Hub or an AC adaptor are required.
SD/SDHC Memory Card* Recording
A large number of images can be saved onto an SD/SDHC Memory Card inserted into the camera. The images on the card can be checked over the Internet, or if no network is being used, monitoring is possible using only the camera by simply storing the images onto the card.
- * The SD/SDHC Memory Card is sold separately. The camera supports 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB SD/SDHC Memory Cards.
Multi-camera Capability*1
Images from several cameras can be monitored and transceiver-type voice communication*2 can be used simultaneously.
- *1 Moving pictures from up to 9 cameras can be displayed on a single screen. Still images from up to 16 cameras can be displayed.
- *2 This function can be used only with a PC. It cannot be used with a cell phone.
Cell Phone Monitoring*
Still images from the camera can be checked on any cell phone that is capable of Internet access. The pan, tilt, and zoom functions can also be operated by using the cell phone.
- * Models that support JPEG only. The audio feature does not work on cell phones.
