BB-HNP15
Network Camera Recorder with Viewer Software
- * A version upgrade from BB-HNP11 is not supported.
- * Images recorded with a BB-HNP11 cannot be viewed with the BB-HNP15.
- * The network camera's digital zoom function cannot be used. Camera control depends on the control specifications supported by the network camera.
- * When recording 640 x 480-pixel images with the BB-HCM381, scanning lines may be generated in moving objects within the image, and image clarity may be lowered.
- * Depending on the operating environment, e.g., PC performance and display resolution, the image display may be slightly slower than images monitored with the previous BB-HNP11 model or via a Web browser.
- * To use the voice and image recording program, it is necessary to complete the user registration over the Internet and obtain a password. Without the user registration, this function is restricted.
- * Program installation requires 200 MB of hard disk space.
- * The number of camera units allowed for simultaneous recording varies depending on the PC performance.

Simultaneous Playback of Recorded Images
The multi-playback screen allows images that are recorded at the same time by up to four cameras to be played back simultaneously. In addition to standard playback, a variety of modes, including reverse and variable speed playback, can also be used for more detailed image confirmation.

Remote Access Function
A PC that is installed with the network camera recording viewer software (BB-HNP15) and set up for network camera connection can be accessed over a network by another PC installed with the viewer software.
As shown in the diagram below, images of individual stores can be recorded. The recorded images can then be searched and played in the main office.

- * For remote access, the PC must be installed with the BB-HNP15. A license ID is required for each PC installed with the software.
- * It may be necessary to change router settings for remote access via the Internet.
- * The load on the CPU increases in the PC on the server side when using the remote access function, but this can be decreased by closing the recording viewer software on the server side.
Voice Transmission to Network Camera
Voices can be sent through the network camera by using the microphone of the PC installed with the network camera recording viewer software (BB-HNP15).
Using the PC connected for recording/monitoring, voices can be sent to a distant location where the network camera is set up and operating.

- * A microphone must be connected to the PC.
- * A microphone and a speaker with a built-in amp must be connected to the network camera.
- * Applicable models: BB-HCM100, BB-HCM110, BB-HCM311, BB-HCM331, BB-HCM381, BB-HCM403, BB-HCE481, BB-HCM511, BB-HCM515, BB-HCM531, BB-HCM581, BB-HCM527 (all of the above are cable type), and BB-HCM371 (wireless type)
MPEG-4 and JPEG recording
Select MPEG-4*1 recording when you want smooth motion images even with limited network speeds or a smaller volume of image data, and select JPEG when you want to take beautiful images at set intervals.
*1 When using a camera that supports the MPEG-4 format.
Enhanced recording functions
The detection range on the PC can be limited by dividing the screen into a grid of 100 squares and masking all unnecessary squares. This suppresses the detection of motion in those squares to detect and record the desired motion with greater accuracy. Other convenient recording functions include alarm recording*1, manual recording, motion detection recording*1, and timer recording*2.
- *1 Alarm recording and motion detection recording can only be used with the JPEG format.
- *2 Up to 10 timer recordings can be set per camera.

Recording format exchange
Desired parts of recorded motion images, still images, and audio can be converted to common formats for handy data exchanging.
- *1 For playback using Windows Media Player.
- *2 For only the audio portion.

Graphic display of recorded images in list form
Recorded images are easily displayed. Screens with graphic expressions, such as a calendar or date and time, make it easy to check images according to the camera name, recording time zone, or recording method. This also makes it easy and convenient to retrieve and play recorded images, and to convert or edit files.

Enhanced viewer functions
You can choose either of two layout modes: the full-screen mode, which fills the screen with the image, or the window mode, which also displays a title, menu, and tool bar. The multi-camera display lets you monitor up to 16 cameras or view the playback of up to 4 cameras. The order of the display images and the size of the display frames can be easily changed by drag & drop operation.

Sequential display function
When monitoring with multiple cameras, the camera displaying the image can be automatically switched at preset intervals. This is also handy when recording the images for later viewing, as it lets you check all of the locations regularly and completely.

Video/audio data batch conversion function
Multiple video/audio data files can be selected for batch conversion. Multiple files can also be merged into one file after conversion.
SSL compatibility
The SSL-ready network camera (BB-HCM527) supports SSL access for added security. (There is a restriction on the number of camera units that can be connected.)
Snapshot function
Snapshots (still images) of monitored images or playback images can be stored.
Double-click screen switching function
Double-clicking on a specific camera image during the multi-screen display mode switches the monitoring mode to a single display mode to show an enlarged view of the selected image. By double-clicking on the screen again, the display returns to the original display mode.
Addition of detection-triggered event output function
It is possible to use a detection signal to trigger an external output or execute a command. This function can be used to display a message when motion is detected or to execute a program, such as one that produces a warning sound. (This software does not include any programs that can be executed by detection signals.)
