Features
A Perfect Balance of High Brightness and Rich Color
As the world’s smallest and lightest 20,000 lm projector1, PT-MZ20KL delivers high performance harmonized for brightly lit spaces, all from a 23.3 kg3 (51.6 lbs) (TBD) body. Refined optical engine balances high brightness and vivid color with Pure White Generator and Dynamic Contrast deepening engagement and enhancing suitability for image rebroadcast.
Harmonious Integration into Hybrid Spaces
Unobtrusive design blends into hybrid learning and meeting spaces with quiet 36 dB4 operation keeping attention on the content. PT-MZ20KL supports 4K signals5 and CEC commands via HDMI®, Smart Projector Control app6 with NFC function7 and auto-focus8, and preactivated upgrade kits for Geo Pro9 to automate edge-blending via camera10. Eight optional lenses including ET-EMU100 Ultra-Short-Throw Zoom Lens adapt projection to your space.
Stress-free Reliability and High Efficiency
Multi-Laser Drive Engine, sealed liquid cooling system, and shielded phosphor-wheel cooling system secure reliable operation. ECO Filter11 and
light-source don’t need maintenance for 20,000 hours12, reducing TCO. Backup Input13 and laser Failover Circuitry add insurance when display must not be interrupted.

3 Tentative value as of May 2022. Weight of actual product may differ at time of release.
4 Specified values are tentative. In QUIET Mode. Operating noise is 42 dB in NORMAL Mode. Brightness is reduced when operating the projector in QUIET Mode.
5 Input signals are converted to the projector’s display resolution upon playback. 4K/60p signals are supported via HDMI and DIGITAL LINK terminals. YPBPR 4:2:0 format only for 4K/60p signals input via DIGITAL LINK.
6 Check device compatibility at the App Store or the Google Play store.
7 Projectors sold in some countries or regions require an ET-NUK10 Upgrade Kit available from PASS to activate NFC function. See NFC Regional Compatibility List for details.
8 Some mobile devices do not support projector auto-focus function.
9 Geometry Manager Pro software for Windows® and preactivated upgrade kits require projector registration. Visit PASS to register your projector and download free software.
10 Compatible cameras comprise Nikon D5200/D5300/D5500/D5600/D7500.
11 Filter cleaning cycle varies depending on environment. Filter can be washed and reused up to two times.
12 Around this time, light output will have decreased to approximately 50 % of its original level ([PICTURE MODE]: [DYNAMIC], [DYNAMIC CONTRAST] set to [2], temperature 30 °C (86 °F), elevation 700 m (2,297 ft) with 0.15 mg/m3 of particulate matter). Replacement of parts other than the light source may be required in a shorter period. Estimated time until light output declines to 50 % varies depending on environment. Filter cleaning cycle varies depending on environment. Filter can be washed and reused up to two times.
13 Input signals to primary and backup inputs must be identical.
