Seamless, High-Contrast Visuals Deepen Engagement
Evolved Dynamic Contrast
In addition to a higher 25,000:11 contrast ratio, Evolved Dynamic Contrast gains new scene analysis circuitry that more accurately recognizes light and dark areas of the image. The difference between black, white, and contrasting colors stands out more dramatically than ever before. It minimizes dimming when projecting contrast-rich content and makes black deeper and whites brighter. Each video frame is analyzed in real-time, and light output is continuously adjusted to meet the precise contrast requirements of each scene.

1 Full On/Full Off with Dynamic Contrast set to [3]. Measurement, measuring conditions, and method of notation all comply with ISO/IEC 21118: 2020 international standards.
Rich Color Enhancer for Vivid, Accurate Colors
Rich Color Enhancer is an original technology that lets you optimize the reproduction of different kinds of content by selecting the appropriate operating mode. Dynamic Mode offers an ideal balance of high brightness and vibrant color for clear image visibility in bright environments. Standard Mode expands red-channel output for deeper and more accurate expression of the color red, which is vital when displaying artwork and other color-rich content in museums, exhibition halls, and themed or location-based entertainment attractions.

Gradation Smoother to Reduce Color Banding
Gradation Smoother reduces banding in gradients of shaded color, which can become evident in images lacking enough color bit-depth. Use the projector remote to select three levels of image correction depending on how much banding is present, or disable the function when it’s unnecessary. Gradation Smoother is a lifesaver when banding is apparent and there’s no time to re-edit the content.

Note: Projectors ship with Gradation Smoother set to the factory default of [2].
Detail Clarity Processor 4 Improves Image Clarity and Sharpness
Detail Clarity Processor 4 analyzes video signal frequency bands for each scene, extracting distribution information of ultra-high, high, mid, and low-frequency components. Panasonic’s unique image quality correction circuitry then applies optimal processing enhancement to each area of the screen. Building on the capabilities of Detail Clarity Processor 3 available on previous Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ projectors, Detail Clarity Processor 4 significantly improves the sense of clarity, making fine details seem crisp, sharp, and lifelike.
Adjust Black Levels on Curved Screens
Achieving uniform black levels inside blended areas on curved screens has always been difficult. This is because the curvature of the screen distorts the width of the black borders that define the area of adjustment. Panasonic answers the problem with flexible black-level adjustment to suit arbitrary screen shapes. You can use up to 17 control points to reshape black borders so they fit the screen symmetrically without distortion. Black levels can be set precisely within a half-pixel margin, so blends are indiscernible even when viewing the screen at close range.

Adjust Black Levels Inside and Outside the Image Display Area
Panasonic’s black-level adjustment can eliminate distracting black-level bumps that can sometimes appear in blends outside of the image display area after geometric adjustment is applied. By unlinking black-level adjustment from geometric adjustment, black-level settings can be applied to the entire blend, including the image overlaps outside the image display area, for a completely seamless multi-screen image.

Note: Black-level area setting must be performed before black-level adjustment. The ability to unlink black-level adjustment from geometric adjustment is supported only on flat screens when adjacent images are aligned vertically or horizontally.
Supports Widescreen Input Signals
Single-chip DLP™ projectors are a popular way to unite on-site and remote teams in hybrid conferencing spaces. The latest video-conferencing software layouts can output a 21:9 signal to a REZ12 Series projector so that the faces of remote participants appear along the bottom of the screen at eye level with those seated in the room. This promotes natural and fluent communication between members of the group. In addition, with more games, films, documentaries, and other immersive content being produced with a 21:9 aspect ratio, it makes sense to invest in a projector that can deliver a cinematic experience.

Flexibility and Expandability for a Timesaving Workflow

Quickly Find the Correct Projection Angle
Laser projectors can be installed at any angle through 360° to map images over floors, walls, and 3D objects. However, adjusting the projection angle to match the one specified in the design simulation can be tricky, especially if the projector is difficult to reach. REZ12 Series features a gyro sensor that detects changes to the projector’s body pitch and roll angles and displays the information graphically in the OSD settings menu. Installers no longer need assistance to check the projection angle as the body is adjusted. They can view the on-screen graphic and adjust the projector angle as necessary before securing the unit.

Note: The displayed values are based on the results of angle sensor detection and may differ from the actual angle representing the posture of this projector. The displayed values are for reference only, and accuracy is not guaranteed.
New Compact Body Supports Maintenance-free Projection
Dust-Resistant Optical Engine and Liquid Cooling System
REZ12 Series features an optical engine and laser light source module compliant with the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529)1 standard, eliminating the need for an air filter and enabling 20,000 hours2 of maintenance-free projection. Reliability is proven by accelerated dust-chamber testing in significantly dustier conditions than those in which some competitive products are tested. A refined liquid-cooling system enables continuous operation in dusty environments with significantly lower noise levels than the previous series, ideal for quiet spaces such as museums. In addition, the stylish new cabinet design blends unobtrusively into the space to minimize distractions.

1 The dust-proof performance of this unit is not guaranteed to be free from damage or failure under all conditions (environment with conductive dust, etc.). Please use an enclosure in environments with smoke containing oil, salt, and moisture.
2 Around this time, the light output will have decreased by approximately 50 %. IEC62087: 2008 Broadcast Contents, NORMAL Mode, Dynamic Contrast [3], temperature 35 °C (95 °F), elevation 700 m (2,297 ft) with 0.15 mg/m3 of airborne particulate matter. Panasonic recommends a checkup at the point of purchase after about 20,000 hours. Light-source lifetime may be reduced depending on the environmental conditions. Replacement of parts other than the light source may be required in a shorter period. Estimated maintenance time varies depending on the environment.
Remote Preview LITE for Monitoring During Events
Remote Preview LITE lets the projectionist confirm connectivity and assess image adjustment changes prior to video projection by viewing thumbnails of the input signal on a laptop. This is useful at events such as live concerts where opportunities to check content on screen are limited due to soundchecks, sunlight on the screen, and other logistical factors. Accessed via software or web browser, Remote Preview LITE works with the projector in Standby1 or with the shutter on and reduces the chance of errors before the performance.

Note: Requires Multi-Monitoring & Control Software Version 3.3 or later available free here. For more information, click here.
1 Projector must be set to Pre-Show Mode.
Backup Input Redundancy
Two identical signals can be simultaneously transmitted to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup). If transmission to the primary input is interrupted, the projector switches to the backup automatically in a minimum of 0.3 seconds1 without screen-blanking. This layer of insurance gives greater peace of mind during events where image display can’t be interrupted.

Note: Primary Input (HDMI 1) and Backup Input (HDMI 2) terminal assignment is fixed. Input signals to primary and backup inputs must be identical.
1 Varies depending on the Backup Input mode and the connected external device.
Highly Reliable Multi-Laser Drive Engine
Multiple laser modules are equipped with unique Failover Circuitry technology. If a single laser diode fails, Failover Circuitry continues supplying electricity to the module’s functional diodes, minimizing brightness loss. If the same issue were to occur in projectors without Failover Circuitry, all diodes in the module might shut down, resulting in a significant loss of brightness.
