Kids and designers team up to make pictures of how we’ll live in 2030.
Kids Creative Program

At FUTURE LIFE FACTORY, we challenged ourselves as a design center to collaborate not just with cutting-edge creators and experts but also with kids, who hold our future in their hands. We connected a child who submitted an advance entry with one of FUTURE LIFE FACTORY’s designers, and they used crayons to make drawings on the theme “How We’ll Live in the Future circa 2030.” The children drew pictures for us featuring perspectives and ideas we’d never conceived before as designers, things like a refrigerator that keeps your grapes field-fresh so you can eat your favorite fruits all year round, or futuristic human-like appliances that move about like people and lend you a helping hand. About 20 children attended the program, accompanied by their parents; as a sign of the high level of interest, some sessions were over-subscribed. The program ended with us presenting plates inscribed “See you in 2030” to the children who contributed, entrusting them with a message that would make them remember Panasonic when 2030 finally rolls around.
