3rd TIME
A project to realize one's own identity through role liberation
“3rd TIME” refers to time that is neither living nor working time.We believe that it is important to design the third time that is created between home and work, rather than just going back and forth between the two. We believe that the quality of life depends on how we spend this time. FUTURE LIFE FACTORY has thought about the importance of this “3rd TIME” and how it should be.
Many people are bound by the roles they play in their relationships with others and lead homogenized lives. In such a life, we believe that “3rd TIME” can have a positive impact on both life and work by making it a time for oneself, a time to become aware of one's own identity by releasing one's roles.
Nowadays, many people may not have enough time in their lives or are so busy with work that they may neglect this time, even though they realize its importance. However, with AI, technology, and services evolving rapidly in recent years, it is said that people will have more time to spare in the future as their living and working hours are reduced. In the area of working hours, the development of work efficiency services and robots that take the place of human labor, as well as reforms in work styles and work-life balance, have created a social trend toward improving the amount of time people spend on their daily lives. While these efforts have focused attention on the challenges of daily life and improving labor efficiency, little thought has been given to how to use the time that is available. We think it's necessery to think not about solving problems to enrich our lives in the future, but about fulfilling our wishes for how we want our lives to be.
