Difference between watts (W) and luminous flux (lm), which is used to express the brightness of LED lighting

Conventionally, power consumption is measured in watts (W), which does not express brightness. However, the brightness of incandescent light bulbs varies depending on power consumption, and so watts became the standard for expressing light bulb brightness.

However, an LED light bulb with a power consumption of around 8 W, for example, produces brightness equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent light bulb. For LED lighting fixtures and lamps, always check for the measurement unit that expresses brightness, lumen (lm), to ensure correct lighting selection.
